Secure Your Wedding Cake

  • Fill out the Wedding Cake Inquiry Form on the "Weddings" tab and receive a reply from Sadie including our Wedding Cake Service Brochure. 
  • To initiate the cake planning process and secure your date, a paid Retainer Fee and Signed Cake Contract Agreement is required. The retainer fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, but it is applied to your cake balance. 
  • We can set up a cake tasting pickup box at any point in the planning process...even before the retainer fee is paid; in case you would like to "try before you buy".
  • Once we finalize all of your sweet day details; A deposit of 50% of the total order cost (minus the paid retainer fee) are due within one week of invoice receipt.
  • The remaining balance is due one month prior to your event date.

Payments and Policies

Deposit:
To secure your order and event date, a 50% deposit is required after receiving your price quote. Your order and event date will not be scheduled until the deposit is paid. Sweet Sadie's Custom Cakes will determine the deposit amount based on your order total.

Remaining Balance:
The remaining balance will be due at pickup, one week, or four weeks prior to the event date, depending on the order details and determined by Sweet Sadie's Custom Cakes.

Payments accepted: We accept cash, check, credit card and Venmo . If you prefer to pay with a credit card, an emailed invoice link will be provided. Please note that a 5% transaction fee will be added to all Venmo and Credit Card payments.

Cancellation for any order:

If the cancellation is made more than four weeks before the scheduled event date, 50% of the paid balance will be refunded. However, the non-refundable retainer fee (if applicable) will be deducted from this amount.

If the cancellation is made less than four weeks before the scheduled event date, no refund will be granted.

Please note that any expenses incurred for the order before cancellation will be subtracted from the refund. For example, the cost of custom toppers/decorations created or purchased, special products/ingredients purchased for the order, etc.

Pickup and Delivery

Delivery and Setup: For your events, delivery and setup is available for an additional fee starting at $120. The fee is subject to variation and dependent on location-based distance and setup intricacies.

*Please note that delivery and setup are mandatory for three-tier or larger cakes.

Expect a reliable and timely delivery and setup service tailored to your specific timeline.

Transportation: If you choose to pick up and transport your cake yourself, Sweet Sadie’s Custom Cakes is not liable or responsible for any cake and/or cupcakes once it has left our kitchen. 

To ensure your cake's safety during transport, we suggest placing it on a flat surface such as the trunk of a hatchback or on the passengers' side floor. Avoid placing the cake on the seat due to the uneven surface. Keep the car cool with air conditioning on and drive cautiously.

Cake Setup: We regret to inform you that we cannot assure the quality of the cake after delivery and setup due to factors such as indoor or outdoor temperature, weather, and outdoor conditions, including but not limited to temperature, sunlight, wind, uneven table setting, insects, etc. Therefore, we cannot accept responsibility or liability beyond this point.

Cake Preservation Guidelines: To ensure optimal quality, it's recommended that all cakes be refrigerated until 1-2 hours before serving. This practice helps to maintain the freshness of the ingredients and stability of the decorations.
